About ANIKO Lifestyle & Wellness™ and Catherine G. Vitug, APRN, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner Specializing in
Nervous System Regulation & Yoga

I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Yoga Teacher (200HR-RYT), and founder of ANIKO Lifestyle & Wellness™.

With over 14 years of experience in healthcare, my work brings together clinical understanding and embodied practices such as breathwork, mindful movement, and restorative care.

Through my experience in medicine, I have seen how chronic stress and burnout affect sleep, energy, mood, and overall recovery. This led me to develop the ANIKO Balance Method™, a science-informed approach that integrates yoga movement, education, and restorative practices to support nervous system regulation.

My goal is to share practical, evidence-informed tools that help people better understand their bodies and build sustainable habits for rest, resilience, and recovery. Through ANIKO Lifestyle & Wellness™, I offer educational experiences that encourage steady support for the nervous system and long-term well-being.

ANIKO Lifestyle & Wellness™ inspires self-awareness, connections, and mindful movement, providing medically-backed resources to reinforce harmony in health and wellness, with focus on nervous system regulation and recovery.

ANIKO translates to grace and strength, with origins spanning cultures from Hebrew to Hungarian to Sanskrit. It reflects yoga’s universal journey of presence, empowerment, self-discovery, and resilience. My goal is to share this balance, guiding you on your healthcare journey by fostering connection, awareness, presence, and recovery through yoga.

I encourage you to explore this information with an open heart and mind, as it aims to support you on your path to newfound strength, healing, and self-discovery through nervous system regulation. Please feel free to share any feedback, thoughts, or personal experiences as you follow along.

Namaste.

Benefits of Working Together

Recovery-Focused

Science-informed education through experience explains how recovery occurs and why rest, breath, and slow movement matter.

Understanding recovery as a physiological process encourages prioritizing recovery without guilt.

Greater confidence in using rest as a healing tool.

Personalized Support

A flexible, choice-based framework allowing autonomy in rest and recovery, tailored to individual lives—without strict rules or pressure.

Recovery looks different for everyone. Autonomy supports consistency.

Sustainable habits, improved self-trust, and long-term nervous system balance.

Nervous System Regulation

Tools that help us recognize when the body needs to downshift, not push—using breath, gentle movement, and restorative practices to support recovery.

True rest does not come from stopping; it comes from helping the nervous system feel safe enough to recover.

Improved rest, more consistent energy, and less stress fatigue.

Evidence in Flow

This work exists to support the body.

Grounded in clinical experience and informed by mindful movement, The ANIKO Balance Method™ is rooted in what I call Evidence in Flow™ a choice-based, evidence-informed approach that prioritizes education and embodied practice to support nervous system regulation, rest, and recovery.

Rather than separating knowledge from experience, participants learn why certain practices support stress recovery while experiencing them in real time.

This framework integrates five interconnected pillars:

Breath

Movement

Rest

Nutrition

Connection

Together, these pillars support nervous system regulation in a coordinated, sustainable way.

Participation is at your pace. Each person is invited to engage in ways that feel supportive.

All are welcome — wherever you are in your experience.

Build Self-Awareness Without Feeling Overwhelmed

You will learn to recognize early signs of stress, fatigue, or overload before escalation.

Awareness without judgment enables more intentional responses with small supportive actions instead of crisis-level interventions.

Fewer cycles of burnout result in a stronger sense of self-trust.

Support Emotional Regulation Through the Body

By using breath, movement, and stillness, the framework aids emotional regulation without needing verbal processing or rehashing stressors.

This makes the work accessible for people who do not want therapy-style interventions or intense sharing.

Enhanced emotional steadiness and clarity during stress.

Reframe Rest as a Skill, Not a Reward

Rest and recovery are learnable, repeatable practices—not something that is “earned” after productivity.

Many high-achievers often find it hard to relax because their nervous systems do not connect rest with a sense of well-being or achievement.

Learn to access deeper rest in short windows for long-term resilience.

Integrates Seamlessly Into Daily Life

The practices fit into real-world schedules—workdays, commutes, short breaks—not just the yoga mat.

Consistency is more crucial than intensity for the nervous system health and recovery.

Greater follow-through, practical application, and lasting impact.

Philosophy

Your body is not working against you.

It has been protecting you.

The ANIKO Balance Method™ and the ANIKO Restore, Regulation, Flow Framework™ promote awareness, rest, emotional regulation, and sustainable habits—helping individuals recover and function in everyday life.

This approach is not about forcing calm or fixing what feels broken. It is about providing the nervous system with consistent signals of safety so regulation can unfold gradually and sustainably.

Whether your goal is to feel calmer, build strength, or bring more balance to your day, we are here to support you.

Healing, in this context, means restoring balance—not demanding perfection.
